How do I recapture pc memory? Can I selectively clean hard drive?

I have WOW and other games on pc. Don't want to loose Webshots or e mail addresses or the games. Can't I wipe deleted stuff so there's more memory available.

1. to free some hard disk space you don't need to remove or delete everything just uninstall all the programs that you won't needing anymore then reboot after that run a disk defragmenter so you hard drive will be re-arrange so it will have more space and faster..
2. i cant understand what you're trying to say. but extra hard drives or have other files transferred in an external hard drive, a lacie 500gb from amazon.com just cost below $100 - that's cheap! you can try compressing unneeded files, but you cannot use them when they're compressed. or use windows compression of hard drives. go to windows explorer, right click on the hard drive, check on the compression option. but it will make your system slower. another way is xplite professional. it is a software that can remove safely certain functions of windows. it also can save about a gb of space, esp when your system is up to date. whenever you update windows, it installs a folder/ program to rollback/ uninstall the update. with so much updates accumulated, these can amount to more than a gigabyte of space! you can use xplite pro to "shrink" the windows folder. just be careful in deleting other functions of windows, bec you might damage other systems.
