Vista RAM

How much hard drive and ram does vista have on average?

if i wanted a simple desktop computer whats the best hard drive i could have? particularly for vista. i tried finding out how much i have on my computer but i dont see where it says hard drive space. could someone help? basically how much harddrive space does the average vista desktop have? how much ram?

1. vist takes up around 11- 12 gigs w/o accounting for restore points, you need 1 gig ram to run vista, but in reality 2 gigs is ideal and I wouldn't go with less
2. vista don't have any, machines do, and it varys. use windows help, type in system info. should get many to choose from, explore all. you will know all.
